Balls to no ball games!

This made me smile when I spotted it last week. Underneath a sign saying "No ball games" someone has painted a football goal.

It seems like someone decided to stick it to the fun police! (Although I do feel sorry for whoever lives the other side of that wall!)

Bookshelf juxtaposition (biography edition)

It amuses me when random books get put next to each other and seem to contradict...

I spotted these two in a charity shop and it made me smile.

It's vaguely hopeful. However shit your life has been so far, tomorrow will be a good day.

Well, maybe.

(And yes, I've done this before, a couple of times)

Bookshelf juxtapositions - pre-Christmas 2021 edition

I like seeing books positioned on shelves next to each other that invite commentary. In the run up to Christmas my local Asda has suddenly got a load of books on the shelves. Someone put these two titles side by side. I wonder if they chuckled as they did it.

I think it's the expression on Daisy May Cooper's face that makes this. Like she is really fed up with Alison!

Artful juxtaposition of photo and sponsor

I've been sorting through my late dad's accumulation of football programmes. (If anyone wants a few hundred Shrewsbury programmes, just get in touch!) As I went through them, I spotted this one where the choice of photo on the front aligns comically with the name of the match sponsor!

I would have thought the Shrewsbury Town Away Travel Club would use a coach, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did go by mower.
